My apologies. Got too excited about a link that was false/misleading and potentially malware.

The 2nd amendment was created to protect us from the very people trying to ban it.
It has nothing to do with hunting or sporting purpose

Just for the record that link is not the newspaper NY Times. Note the URL is not nytimes.com but nytimes.com.co and that is simply a private party hosting it on GoDaddy using a proxy service out of Scottsdale Arizona. Nothing to do with any reputable news organization.

Whois would be how you find out who is the registered owner of a URL (site at root of link) ending in .co rather than .com makes it a totally different web site.

nytimes.com whois comes back as a publishing company based in New York and THAT site would be the reputable newspaper company.
check out the difference http://www.nytimes.com/

Last but not least a quick check of Google News that finds no news story to corroborate the one in this bogus wannabe look like a real news web site leads me to conclude this story is bogus. Really this last step should be done by anyone spreading a supposed "news" story.

One should also be careful going to "look alike" links. These are often used to spread malware. The bad guys get people (such as OP did here) to post and email link to something that at first glance looks like the site of a reputable known company but it is really a bogus site designed to spread viruses, Trojans, and key loggers.
