I have a M94 Win in .25-35.

I have been watching for brass. It seems that lately, it's not too plentiful.

My question is if anybody uses .30-30 and converts it?

It can be converted. I bought 500 pieces a couple of years ago because of fears of them not making it. I believe they do a yearly replentishment of their stock. You might come up with some somewhere on the internet.

I have a 25-36 Marlin and I normally use 25-35 brass in it !

But as you say it is hard to come by . I think I have 165 pieces at the moment .

I had 65 brand new pieces for a couple years until I finally purchased the 25-36 . Then about a year ago I ordered another 100 ieces from my dealer . Took about 6 months to get . Seems its a "seasonal" run item with Winchester .

I will most likely have him get me another 100 or so pieces later this year . Not really need but nice to have on hand !

It is a little scarce, but Huntington's Sports Shop www.huntingtons.com usually has it. Not cheap, but if ya just gotta have it.......

I make mine out of 30-30 brass, but the trick is not to try to size it in one pass. Unscrew the sizing die a few turns then make six or seven passes screwing the die in a little at a time.

Ditto, imperial die wax sparingly and do not try to form in one pass, crushed and useless cases will result, but a half dozen bumps further and further into the die will result in nice cases.
I even made 38-56 from 45-70 using $20.00 lee dies and this method vs the $400.00 RCBS form dies plus reloading dies at additional cost.

I just got some Bullsize die wax to try from the Bullshop and expect it to perform on a par with the imperial for caseforming needs with my 8x56R from 7.62x54 Russian cases.

I have Imperial Die wax .......

I will check with "Boses's" and Huntington's ........

I was considering a 7mm Waters sizer for a step size.

Thanks All!!

I don't normally try making brass from anyhting if I can avoid the issue .

However all my 219 Zipper brass was made from once fired Winchester 30-30 brass . I had someone with forming dies make me 150 pieces and it seems to work alright .

The Winchester 25-35 brass will cost you about $50 for 100 pieces now I think . But I have this thing about headstamps . I have a bunch of 30-30's and the 219 , so it just makes it a little easier and safer to make my 25-36 brass out of 25-35 . Well actually make is an untrue term in this instance as all I have to do is load new 25-35 brass and shoot . It fireforms and then resizes fine in my 25-36 die .

As far as the 40-65 , 38-56 and 33 WCF are concerned it's fairly easy to make them all from 45-70 . However again I happen to have all 4 calibers and about five 45-70's so again I prefer stuff with the correct headstamp . The 40-65 from Starline is about the same cost as Winchester 45-70 brass . owever my 38-56 and 33 WCF brass all came from Quality Cartridge and it was pricey almost two years ago , I can imagine how much it costs now . When I got mine it was over a dollar a stick ! So needless to say I 40 pieces for the 38-56 and 40 pieces for the 33 WCF . Seems I read somewhere that Jamison's was making both these as well now and again at about a buck a piece .

I have a 40-82 as well and that is being run with brass I got with the rifle . Mostly old Huntington headstamp brass and some Bell brass that was trimmed and sized . With that there are two options neck down Starline 45-90 brass or look to Jamison's as again it is my understanding that they make 4082 brass as well !

Actually, Boses is priced 50 @ 20 bucks and change.

Huntington's is a bit higher.
