I just have to think that a spark may get in the main powder magazine somehow. That would cause a surprise! I'll bet that it was very expensive to produce with the tools of the time too. No problem for the king though. It is good to be king.

that is a very interesting flint lock ,and the fit is incredible ! for it being built in the 1680's .A lot goes on with one turn of the lever almost clock like
