I have the complete set of Handloader magazines from Number 1 through about 2003. I also bought the complete set on DVD to save wear and tear on the old paper books. Also bought a couple other CD's and DVD's from Wolfe and was completely sataisfied, awesome amount of info.

Last week I ordered "Advanced Handloading" figuring it would be good to learn a new trick or two, at the least something to play around with.

Very disapointed in Wolfe for naming this DVD Advanced Handloading, at best its reloading 101 and really quite incomplete for that. No advanced techniques in it, you'll get a brief look at the differences between Redding F/L, NK and collet NK dies but not even how to properly set them up. Then an even shorter look at the Redding Competition Seating Dies. You'll be told that its possible to debur flash holes and then a really poor demonstration of primer pocket uniforming. You'll be told that for top accuracy a plus or minus 1/2 grain powder is fine and won't affect velocity or accuracy.

This is actually an advertisement for Redding, Sierra and Hodgdon and not even a good advertisement. I guess that's why I'm upset with Wolfe, I paid them $23.20 to watch their commercial. Commercial's upset me when they're forced on me free and I paid them to see this one. This DVD would not have been worth it had I only paid the $3.25 shipping.

Wolfe is a company that I have a lot of respect for but they sure blew it on this one. I'm surprised they put their name on it.

You have remember that advanced to us is a little different than most people. I was reforming cases to make .43 spanish shells because you could pickup weird rifles in weird calibers pretty cheap. And working up loads for stuff that the data was nonexistant. Athat was many years ago. I've met people that have been reloading for many years and have loaded j-bullets fron the book and that's it.

Ed,

I tried while watching this video to look at it as a less experienced reloader might see it. Didn't work, its far too incomplete for brand new reloaders and has nothing to offer anyone even experienced with the basics. Its simply disapointing, that it comes from Wolfe is surprising.

I guess its as the old saying says, maybe you had to be there to see it yourself.
