In my 25-2 I shoot a Lyman 45266 and 3.6 grains of Bullseye. This is a very mild but very accurate load.

Boolit diameter will be very important. Your chamber throats are probably about .455"-.456", and the best boolit diameter will be at least that large.

I shoot my standard bullseye load of a 200 gr H&G 68 copy and 3.5 gr Bullseye. Curiously, I shot this load for years before I checked my cylinder throats. Even though I shoot .452 bullets in my .455-.456 throats accuracy is superb. If I remember I'll post a target pic when I get home.

Can't beat the Lee version of the (standard groove, powder coated) hg68 for mid range accuracy. My 1911 and my step dad's rbh both love 4.4 of red dot.

.452 bullet hard as wood pecker lips worked for me. 230 gr RN, 235 gr SWC, and 200 gr RN all shot very well at 25 yards.

Not all 25-2 45acp have enlarged throats. Mine doesnt.

Nor does my much older N frame.....

I haven't had time to try a lot of loads in this 1 ,but it has shot 5.5 gr Unique with good results under 454423,454424 and 45-200 RCBS SWCs cast soft for hunting application in the 45 Colts . The 454423 was a demo lot from Love Life along with some 230 RN PC'd ,I'll try those next month . All of the SWC were very effective, because a cement filled 8x8 cinder block makes a great test media, and I was easily putting 5 on the block at 30 yd,standing Weaverish . This pistol is also apparently a very fast specimen.

If the quest includes fast reloads I would lean more toward a TC or a 2r RN.
