As requested by Sundog in a previous thread.

Wolf does not nickel plate there LP cups(I don't know about the other sizes)so there are the same color as WW LP that I use.
I loaded 50 of the wolf's with my standard CAS load, a 260RNFP and 4.2 RD on a Dillon 450B(almost a 550) they did seat a little harder then WLP(not as bad as CCI) but didn't have any trouble keeping them flush or below the case head. Then stored them in a seperate ammo box.

At our last CAS match I stoked 5 in my Rossi LG along with 5 Win primed, I also loaded 5 in a Uberti colt clone with a good action job and light main spring and 5 Win primed in the other Uberti. I could not tell any difference in the 2 loads. :D:Fire:
At the next stage I mixed 10 Wolf with 10 Win in a pouch on my gun belt, I loaded 10 in the rossi and 5 each in the ubertis, once again I could not tell the difference. Out of the 50 loaded Not one round failed to fire on the first hit.:D

When I get the time I will test them against WLP over same sand bags for differences in accuracy, I have a Uberti 1875 Outlaw that will shoot 2" groups at 25Y and a 7.5" RNMBH that does about 2" at 50Y, IF I do my part.

I hope Powder Valley makes it to the next Tulsey gun show, @ $90/case I will buy more.

I'd love to know how these stack up against Federal in lightened DA revolvers. My ICORE 686 and USPSA 625 will light Federal 100%, but only about 80% with Winchester.

Click click click click click click.... tried them in my S&W 610. It is 100% with Federal small and 99.5% with Fed large. It is usually about 50% with Winchester, I don't think it can set off a CCI large even if I go around twice.

Sold several 1000 to a local who has no trouble in his 625 S&W. He uses the SP in a M-14 and some kinda wonder 9. No complaints.................comes back for more............Creeker

In a stock 625 I'm sure they'll go bang every time.

Even in a mildly tweaked 625 they should be fine. Especially if it has the hammer mounted firing pin.

buddy tried large in his two 625s and said they went bang as good as federals da and said the same about the small pistol in his 646 and his and my 646s are even tougher to get to fire reliably then my worked over ppc gun with a 7lb da pull. The problem we are having isnt ignition its consistancy over the chronograph and squib fireings

You're getting squibs using Wolf primers and standard .45 ACP loads?

Has anyone heard anything about Federal primers are going to get harder to suit the military wanting them that way.Wondering if I should get more for my redhawk.

I read on Enos' forum that someone had contacted Federal and it was a false rumor. Do a search in the Revolver forum and you should be able to find it.

Hmmm, not good. 231 should be plenty easy to light.

But that is a huge case volume, hard for a primer to build pressure in.

When I ordered my case of SR, I got Magnums, just to be on the safe side. I didn't want to pull down 5000 rounds of 223. Probably do the same when I get some LP;s for the 45.

From what I've read about Wolf so far is they certainly can be bad.

My lot (5-06) seems fine but Lloyd shoots more than I.............Creeker

what seems to work well is using wolf mags in everything. There not alot hotter then there std primer. Velocitys seem to rise about 50 fps but extreams spreads are much better. Actually in the acp the stds didnt do all that bad. Extreem spreads were about 75 fps. I like them better then that but if the load will shoot its no big deal as your usually not shooting past 25 yards with them anyway. I SURELY WOULD NOT trust my life to a handload using wolf primers though from the testing we did.
