Friends call me Pac
03-29-2015, 10:05 AM
I raised my right hand and took an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic and to obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

I am proud to have served and to be a member of a very small percentage of this country to have served to protect my country and it's way of life. Would I do it again? In a heartbeat.

What, another Zoomie? :kidding: Just kidding. Thank you for your service; glad to have another veteran here. Our country needs more people with the desire to serve, rather than those who can only say gimme!

The first time to take the oath was 48 years 10 months ago. Took it 5 more times. Like Pac I also enjoyed my time in the Air Force. It seems like yesterday when I took that first oath.

My Uncle Jack commanded Battery B 38th field artillery during the Korean dispute. A good friend of his during at the time, Ed Joseph served as a battery commander in the 37th. Lt Col Joseph later commanded the 37th right about your time frame. Any chance he was your Battalion Commander?
