bought some BE 86 powder.
I have 125grn. jacketed and 138grn. cast rnfp, and they don't list either in the load data. do I just pick something close and start lower than what is listed? I don't want to wind up in trouble..
I need some load recommendations if anyone has any.
thank you..

Need to know the caliber ... 9mm, .38 Special, .380 ACP or another caliber? That info would help. Best not to go below recommended minimum or to exceed stated maximum. That 125 grain jacketed and 138 gr. cast rnfp looks like .38 Special or .357 Mag. Big Boomer

thanks Red333. Can I use that powder charge with my 138grn. cast or do I lighten up the charge?

Always choose heavier bullet data if you can't find your exact bullet. It's always safe to use data for a heavier bullet with a lighter one.

Alliant shows max charge wts, so you would reduce that by 10% & work up. A bullet that much heavier, I would reduce it even more.

Yes, back off the listed load a bit.
