I just melted down some 25 lb lead counter weights and when I poured my ingots some of them had a yellow color in them and some others had blue coloring in them. I would like any help….what am I doing wrong..i am using a colman camp stove and a 4 quart cast iron pot with 50 lb of lead. i fluxed 3 times.

nothing..its a color change as temp changes......

doing nothing wrong, sounds like very pure lead from the colors

Ol timers used to call Buckshot "Blue Whistlers" because they had a bluish tint to them (even after cooling) and would sometimes whistle as they flew. (I've only had it happen once, but it was fun to hear them whistling into the sky...)
