What are some good cast boolit reloading manuals out there that some of you use? I am looking for one that has data for many popular center fire rifles using available powders and cast boolits of various weights.

And this is a good thread to review for a suggested list, and if they are available or out of print.

Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook 3rd and 4th Editions ( 4th is in print now, 3rd is good to have)
Lee Reloading Manual 2nd Edition
RCBS Cast bullet Manual....this one is out of print also
That's about it for books devoted to cast, and are my three go to's.

I agree with everyone about the Lyman Cast Bullet Manual.
It's a wealth of information.

I have the Lyman #2 & #3 . . . they should be leather bound with gold embossing as they are my "Bibles" for cast. At some point I'll add #1 and #4 just to make a complete set. All the above recommended already would be great to have.

Thanks to all who posted. You all have given me a wealth of information. I will be well educated before I actually begin pouring my own lead boolits.

I just received the Lyman #4 book. Like you all said, it is great. It has a wealth of info and data for the cartridges I will load for.

All of the above as well, but don't ignore the current edition of Joe Brennan's "Cast Bullets for Beginner & Expert" as it's loaded with helpful information.

RCBS Cast bullet Manual....this one is out of print also. Gary

The one and only print version of the RCBS Cast Bullet manual is shockingly small compared to Lyman. BUT... After you dink around with casting a while, you will understand WHAT is in the front of the RCBS manuel. And you will find it to be spot on.

I pine for the day RCBS issues another cast bullets handbook. HATE having only an electronic version.

RCBS, hear me? HATE. Hate the game, not the player...

All of the above plus the SPG Lubricants BP Cartridge Rolading Primer.

I am also a big fan of SPG bullet lube & use it on just about all of my handgun bullets.
