Three years ago I won a Henry Golden Boy in a raffle. I've never shot the gun because I'm it to giving to my 3 year old grandson when I think he's ready for the responsibility. He'll be the first to shoot it. Yesterday, I was notified that I won another rifle in a raffle; this time it's a Ruger American All-Weather in 243. I have been contemplating buying a stainless steel-synthetic stock rifle for hunting in rain and snow but I'm not keen on a 243 and do not want to buy dies and moulds for another caliber. I will probably trade this one in in 308 or 30-06.

Another option is to keep it and have it rebored to 358.

And another option is to give it to your grandson when he's ready to move up a bit.
