I am posting here, since anyone in the room is doing something to make odd brass. I found one shell with the following dimensions and just can't find out what it is!

The case is 1.508" long, .333" at the mouth and has a very slight taper back to the head with a dimension of .355" just above the head. The rim looks small, and measures at .382". The head stamp is 38 at 12 o'clock and 78 at 6 o'clock.

Thanks Matt

That is such an odd round, that explains the odd case mouth after firing! I had not been looking for it to be a pistol round!

Thanks!
Matt
