I hope this doesn't violate the "newbie" posting rules... I wanna buy a bullet mold in 45-70, but don't know which bullet would perform best in my rifle, so I'd like to buy 20 bullets from each of the molds I'm considering so I can test them for performance before I commit to buying a mold. (Thanks very much to Cohutt and Snuffy for their help on the Lees and RCBS bullets.)

If you have twenty bullets from either of the molds listed below, I would appreciate it if you would email me with a price, including shipping to zipcode 39475. (Please tell me how you'd like the funds paid.) The bullets don't have to be lubed; I can do that myself. Your help is much appreciated!

Saeco #015 .............. .458-459"....300gr....Flat Nose...(flat base)
Saeco #018 .............. .458-459"....405gr....Flat Nose...(flat base)

Thank you very much,

I'll be happy to send you some from the RCBS mold @ no charge, but it will be next week before i can get it together and mailed out. I think all i have are some lubed with some rcbs green lube that came with my lubrisizerII, fairly hard alloy these are (i think) that i will verify for you. (I am 99% these are the same mold as you listed, will verify that too).

I'm shooting more of the 440g ones from an old single ohaus mold, (the ones in the 45 mtm cases. )

RCBS are in the containers in top of pic:

Thank you very much, Bob, but I'm trying to stay away from gas-checked bullets. I very much appreciate your response, though.

Moredes, I have the first two. I can send them as cast or sized to .458 and lubed with NRA formula 50-50 beeswax/alox. The 340's are cast of an alloy about Lyman #2, BHN 18. The 405's are 20-1 pure lead to tin and unsized. I have a few of the 405's that are sized .458 and lubed as above, not sure if there's 20 or not, but could lube a few more.

jteljet@new.rr.com ,send me your snail mail addy and how you want them.

Want to try some paper patched boolits? I will be glad to send you some if you pay the shipping.

Pdawg,

Thanks very much for the offer! Right now I think I'd like to keep the field as narrow as 'possible'. I will certainly keep the idea in mind if I don't get the results I'm hoping for.

I also would be interested in a few sample boolits for the 45-70. I bought a 45-70 just last week and will be casting for it. I'll be glad to pay for your trouble plus shipping to 71343. Bobthenailer, send me an email if you would. I would love to try 20 of your #017 350 gr fpgc boolits.

Down S., I'd be glad to send you some as well, which ones?

Moredes, your's left Oshkosh on Thursday. Hey guys, those 100 count 50 cal pyrodex pellet boxes make great shipping containers for 50 cal boolits!:-D

Snuffy, I would love to get about 20 of your 340's that are sized to .458". Shoot me an email with your address and how much I'll owe you. My email address is in my profile but to make it easier it's swactor@hughes.net
It will be a few days before I'm back home. I'm in the Gulf of Mexico right now.

Thanks, I hope that I don't have to swim. I'm about 150 miles out on a production Spar (Devils Tower). I'll put a money order in the mail when I get home.
