I want a round ball mould in .594-595 with a sprue cutter. Lee makes a single ball mould in .600. Is it feasable to have a machinist mill the inside faces of each block back 3 thousands each? You would lose the air vent lines, but new ones could be scribed back into the face of the mould. If I'm correct, this would make the ball smaller and the mould would still function normally. Am I correct in my thinking?

Won't work with a Lee because of the locating pins and grooves. All you would have is a big gap between the halves.
Even if it did. your ball would be out of round.
Rapine shows a .595 ball in their catalog, they make great molds at a reasonable price.

It wouldn't be round anymore, would it?
