WW 2 Bible ?

I found a NewTestament with a steel cover that has May the Lord be with you stamped on it . Inside theres a foreword from the White House signed by FDR. Did they give these to the troops in WW2? I can not post pictures.

There were various versions issued to Chaplains of all denominations, as well as pocket volumes made available to troops. I have a small Revised Standard Version which I was gifted by the Gideons at NAS Norfolk prior to my first sea duty as an enlisted rating back in 1970.
