He passed! Have to wait for his paperwork to come back from national before we can get him any goodies, but as of today, my boy is a Brotherhood and Eagle Scout. 14 years old, and worked his tail off for it. My 12 year old is a Life Scout, and got his sash this past weekend. Papas very proud of his boyos.

Well done to the young men. Eagle and Vigil myself. All 5 of my brothers are Eagles too, and 4 of them are Vigil.

Tell him the hard part is coming. Having to live up to the standard he set for himself! Proud of both him and his parents both worked to get to this. A proud Eagle too Clint

Good for him. You do not see as many kids doing scouts as when I was younger. I am sure you are a proud papa

That is an honor earned by few. It's a tribute to the dedication of the Scout and the parents.

Congratulations to him. An honor that can never be taken away from him. I was surprised in the military with the number of Eagle Scouts I ran into. Especially in the officer corps. It's good training and in the long run will come out as he enters the adult world in the form of leadship. Being an Eagle Scout myself and the father of two Eagle Scouts, I know the work and support provided by you and your spouse as well. I congratulate you both as well as him on a job well done./beagle

Congratulations to your young man!
That's quite an accomplishment.
The son of a coworker is almost done with the process and there's a lot to it.

I made Eagle at 14, with palm, brother hood OA. I consider it to be one of the most significant events of my life. It taught me morals, values, and traditions, that will never leave me. Like being a Marine, there are no former Eagle Scouts. It is good to know that people like Beagle & Cowboy Dan, and I have this in common! I also ran into a fair number of Eagles in two branches of service.

Congrads to him, and yes to you also. My oldest stepson just got his at 14 and all the work and effort involved is overwhelming. This will stick with him for the rest of his life. Glad you were a part of it.

In all honesty, the wife unit was able to put in a LOT more time than I did.

Good for him, had 2 nephews get theirs. I know your son worked hard for it but let's not forget your work as well. They should have an eagle scout dad's badge as well.

Does "Barry" sign the papers now? I know he didn`t when he first got into office. The only sitting Prez that wouldn`t sign Eagle Scout`s papers, all precedeing Presidents signed these papers.Robert

Mine was by Clinton. Rather of had Bush Sr sign it, but still cool nonetheless.

Congrats to you and him! A 14 year old Eagle and a 12 year old Life Scout shows that someone has worked very hard. I was a 14 year old Eagle, my Brother and both of my Sons are Eagles and my Grandson is a Cub.

Anybody see on the news about the middle aged gal that embezzled $6,000 from a cub scout troop here in Mich. to "pay her own bills" with. A dental center stepped up and made good with a check for $6K for the troop, he had been a scout himself when he was growing up. The gal faces a judge next week about her stunt.Robert

Congrats to your son for a job well done . . both of your sons! And, you and your wife can be very proud as well as without good parent involvement, they wouldn't have good examples to follow as well! It sounds like they will be a great success in the years to come. I never had a chance to go very far in scouts but I certainly do admire and feel pride in the young men and women who pursue there scouting and the achievements . . . it makes a community proud for sure! Congrats again!

I think it would mean more to my son to get a letter from Chuck Norris and Ted Cruz.
