Is anybody beside me looking forward to the third season of Vikings on the History channel? I loved the first two seasons, thought it was a really well done show in all respects.

Watched the first season, got busy and missed the second. If I can figure out how to catch up, I'd watch a new season.

If I had TV I would probably watch. Haven't had it for 25 years. I do like the History Channel, The Military Channel, and the Weather Channel. That's about it. When I travel, I don't need to go to bars for entertainment. I just channel surf. That's enough for me.

Keith, If you happen to have netflix look up a documentary called "Viking sword" it shows how some of their swords had superior metallurgy. It was very interesting. FB

I'm looking forward to seeing more dragon ships too! Firebricker I imagine you are speaking of the Ulfberht sword, one highly prized weapon of that era.

Excellent serious. We are also looking forward to it. There is a lot of real history mixed in including the some of the story of that English king. We especially like the scenery and photography.

For me it's the best series since The Sopranos! I have even read different versions of Ragnar's Saga, the story on which it is loosely based.
I am watching right now also. I love it!

Love the series.

Vikings & Hell On Wheels are two of the best series out there.

For network TV the only one I really like is Blue Bloods on CBS.

Yes, thank you. I should have been more specific. It's still the 'busy' problem. I'd likely have to stop casting and shooting, and THAT'S not gonna happenl LOL!

justified??? I grew up in Harlan Co.,all my family still live there.Brother, believe me,that is not Harlan Co.,Kentucky.However he is a good actor.

Kentucky Justice on the other hand is real, and that is Harlan.I grew up with Marvin J's family. His dad was Chief of Police and was a friend of my dad.He is not the Sheriff anymore, didn't get re-elected.According to my brother,he arrested the wrong person.Marvin J was good people.
A quick story-One day my mother was giving him a pat on the back and telling him what a good job he was doing in cleaning uo the trash. After the conversation, and they parted ways, mom thought...hell he has one of my son's in jail.

Vikings, Justified, Hell on Wheels, and Longmire are the ones I like to wait until available on my Roku then watch an entire season in a marathon session, not very good at spreading them out!

It had good ratings but, according to there Wall Street Journal, the people who liked it were too old and the channel wanted a different demographic.

Since there is such an interest in Vikings you might find the contents of a Viking Tool Box interesting. It is called the Mastermyr Find and much has been written about it.

Here is the story of the find:

Here is an inventory list:

Here are illustrations of the contents:

I'm a big Vikings fan. I am of Danish ancestry and find it fascinating to see what my ancestors were doing a thousand years ago.
