I really feel for you guys - probably around 75 here today, and no clouds. Will be a busy day (Holiday, right?) at the Air Museum, where I will be driving a tram (open air, of course). But I'm in sympathy for those in colder climes - right...

Every flake of snow that falls is sticking to the roads here in NE TN. Started around 10 am and still going. I won't be going out until they clear the roads as I live at the top of the hill and it is at about a 40* angle DOWN.

We have about a 1/4 " ice with a about 3" of sleet and snow on top of that, nasty weather. Cows looked rough with that heavy coat of ice hanging off of them.

We got about 2" of snow, the largest amount so far this year. We have had a very dry winter here so far. We could use more snow.

run some electricity through the wire, it'll heat up quick and melt the ice. :)

isn't it funny, you never really know what the true slope of something is until is covered in ice. :)

I've been on both sides of that coin and I'll take the snow anytime over the ice.

Beau, Roger is still flying out of west cove in the summers. But, these days he's wintering down south, in New Hampshire.

4" of snow with 1/4" of ice on top of it here. Major mess, closed offices and schools. Virginia Beach - the city - says they hope to have the roads drivable by 7pm tonite! That does not refer to our residential streets, like in front of mi house!

BD, I hate to tell you this, but Moosehead Lake is fresh water!

I will take a few feet of snow over 1/4 inch of ice. We get enough freezing rain here to keep it interesting. I hate the stuff.

The news said this morning, most if not all of our roads were still impassable.Karen is loving her extra days off, most likely she'll have the rest of the week off.You just don't know how I feel, being a retired rural mail carrier, that I don't have to go out in this stuff.

I found an Ithaca Deerslayer I want, hope it's still there when the snow melts.

Red,are those chickens froze? They don't seem to be moving.

Hi...

On a vacation day today. I looked at the weather map last thursday and saw what looked like an interesting snow event, so I scheduled off for today and tomorrow. I have a 40+ mile commute, one way. No particular interest in doing that in a snowstorm. To be truthful, the older I get the less interest I have in doing it in nice weather.

If the roads are clear, I'll probably go to work tomorrow.

We got about 3" of snow over night...temperature was 7F about an hour ago.

The township just plowed the cul-de-sac I live on a few minutes ago.

My son took his 4WD Dodge truck to work this morning...our Jeep is staying in the driveway, right where it belongs. The Nissan doesn't like snow and ice at all...it starts spinning as soon as the weather forecaster predicts a possibility of flurries. Gives me a valid reason to stay home when it snows.

I'll need to go out and clear the sidewalk and driveway here shortly. Oh Joy!!!

Yea, we ended up with 2" of snow and then about the same of sleet on top of it. The 2 great pyrenees love it, the 2 chihuahua's are not fans...
