The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Truly one of the finest and truest psalms recorded in the Bible.

100% agree! Nice to hear from you sir, I've missed your posts and your presence here. Hope all is well in Goodsteel land. I never did send you the pics of the most beautiful Mauser that my wife got me for Christmas, some of the nicest wood and good smithing on this one. I'll send em tomorrow if the bilzard of 15 doesn't do to much damage to the house, powers been flickering on and off, high winds and some where around25 below!

Y'all take care! Sounds like not much fun.
Sorry to leave for a while, but I had business to attend to. I'm happy to say that we are blessed beyond measure, an 2015 is looking like it's going to be an amazing year!

Yes well, 2014 was like the first four lines of the scripture above.
So far, the last two lines describe how 2015 has been.
Good to see you BNE

Phillip Keller has a wonderful little book called "A Shepard Looks at Psalm 23". It really fleshes out the experiences that David might have had as a Shepard boy. It is a good read and a great reminder that the Good Shepard will never forsake or abandon those who are in His flock.

I have to agree....thanks for posting....the hardest part for me was learning to turn it over to God and He will lead and protect me on the journey he wants me to take....when I learned that lesson then Psalm 23 really took on a new meaning for me.....Paul

What I like about the verse is when we can't walk He will even carry us.Nice to see your posts and hope 2015 continues to bless you and yours.

Palsms 23 is one of the most comforting verses in the Bible.
