21.5 gr might be more accurate. Try a standard primer.

I shoot the Lyman 429650 (~320 grains) using 19.5 grains of H-110 in a 9.5” SRH…

A CCI-350 primer produces 1277 fps…

A Tulammo Magnum primer produces 1294 fps…

Accuracy is pretty good to my standards. A life-sized steel groundhog can be clanked at 150 yards most every time once I get the holdover established. I have attempted it at 200 yards, but clanks are not as consistent…

It is the most accurate slug I shoot from my 44 Magnum…

I tried heavier charges of H-110, but I found the recoil to be uncomfortable, at least for me…

Good-luck…BCB

You'll give out long before the Redhawk does.

Mister c, I have had some very bad results loading standard primers with H110/296Win. On several occasions I have had a charge fail to ignite and pushed a boolit and about 1/2 the powder charge into the forcing cone of the revolver. It has happened with a 357 Smith and Wesson and a 454 Redhawk and a Blackhawk Ruger 357. My experiences with standard primers and H110 have NOT been good.

I agree, my results using H110/296 have showed that full loads and mag primers are definitely the way to go, and are what have worked well in both my 44 mag & 357 max loads.

I have used the Fed 150 for over 35 years in every .44 and use 296 only. All needed is good case tension. Slippery lubes should be avoided with any primer too.
The .454 is a different animal with the SR primer, starting loads of H110 will not ignite, you must be near or at max. By cutting down .460 brass and using LP primers, all charges ignited with the 150 but the 155 was more accurate.
I always used a SP mag in .357's.
The .44 does not need or like a mag primer. Does not hurt to test, you might be surprised with the accuracy.

I'm using PENN bullets, 320 gr.SSK, sized to.430 no gas check seated out to second ring in a ruger red hawk.
