I have read there are limitations to bullets made from .22 rimfire cases, but cannot find them in this forum. What barrel twist rate do I need if I intend to use BTSniper's tools to make bullets from bulk-ammo .22 rimfire cases for an AR-15 rifle? Let's say I have a 16", chrome-lined, cold hammer forged barrel. Powder loads? Dunno yet. What velocities should I stay within with the rifle barrel described? I think most twist rates of rifles I'm looking at are 1:7. At some velocity limit, as I understand it, the (I made them myself!) boolits will not stay together. Please assist, I'm configuring an AR-15 right now. Thanks.

Swaging .22 cases? Or what? There is a swaging forum you could check and ask. Otherwise, be a tad more specific. Please.

Swaged 223 from 22lr cases.
The thinner jackets are supposed to make them susceptable to more damage at velocity.

Dig around in the swaging section this whole thing was discussed by those of us that make and use them.
For the record here I shoot them in 1-8/1-9 twist rifles (223) for varminting using the same loads I use with other jacketed bullets.

I've run samples through my 1-8 & 1-9 guns at full speed without issue. I mentioned samples because I'm not making them yet myself.
