Finally had enough futzing about and dropped hammer on a 32-170-FN mold. It is my last reasonable hope to get a re-lined 32-40 to be well-behaved. Tried .321 and .323 sizing, not enough. Barrel slugged @ .316 for bore and @ .322 for groove.

Try the 323-470-It works well in an old Marlin that disliked every other boolit I fed it.

I assume you mean the Lyman 323470? Yup, that has crossed my attention... Also, RCBS did / does make the 08-170-FN bigger brother to the 32-170-FN. All in time.

I just got the RCBS 32-170 and it drops at .323 and are by far the roundest bullets right out of the mold that I have seen. I did have one minor complaint. The sprue-plate is stamped and had a substantial bevel in the bad direction, making it impossible to remove the sprue. A little file work and sprue hole polishing smartened it right up.

Amazon said Sunday by 8PM, and it was here about 2PM. Looks nice, got to wash it out with denatured alcohol, smoke it, and cast.

Sunday delivery. Day-um!

:awesome:
