Always enjoyed his posts. Thought I'd bring him to the top.

A pic of him with the Vetterli. Totally appropriate!

He was kind to me and always answered my questions.
he helped me out when started to get back into wine and home brewing. I bought a hydrometer from him, but he graciously packed the box with a nice corker, ingredients, and a recipe book and didn't ask for anything in return. He even trusted me with a photo of a still and passed on good websites for making liquor.

wish he was still around...

Joe was a good guy. I miss him and a lot of the other old timers from this site that are together now.

Joe designed a couple of great boolits in conjunction with Jim Allison (former owner of CBE).

he also wrote some super good articles for the cba's monthly pamphlet.

joe sent me a cd of some stuff he was working on a couple of years ago and a nice set of measurements for a cherry for a boolit he was thinking of cutting, I run it through the design-pro and he had the cog and such figured out almost 100% dead on.
good guy doesn't really describe him, another step past that would be closer to the truth.

I did a bit of trading with Joe, he seemed to be a great and knowledgeable man. It's a shame. Rest well.
Thanks for posting this Wilco.

I bought a 69/71 Vetterli from Joe. A very cherished part of my gun collection. Joe was a super stand up guy!

Thanks for posting this Wilco.

You're welcome. Departed folks come to my mind from time to time.
Joe did, so I figured he should come to the top of the topic list.

Joe was one that helped out newbies, he is remembered well. He had a rough time near the end,but now he's where the powder and lead flows freely . Cast on Joe, cast on !

We are diminished.
I have been mining his posts on the Vetterli heavily as I just purchased one last weekend.
We should count ourselves lucky to have his work archived here in his posts.

How cool is it that guys like Joe live on via this sort of medium? Long may it continue. Same goes for Junior.
