The wife would get them from time to time. One was vanilla scent, really nice, it smelled good enough to eat. The lab must have thought so too, he ate it one day. At least he didn't eat it while it was burning.

My wife makes custom scented candles. One is leather scented. Smells like a boot store or saddle shop when u walk in the house. Luv that smell.

They are a good source for cutting beeswax lubes.
you just have to be careful of the scents you use they don't always smell the same coming out the barrel.
Ask the wife about the ***-crack lube she helped make one time.

I use the leftovers for cleaning up wheel weights and range scrap. Only use I've found for them.

My wife has it bad for Yankee Candle's ! bet she has at least 15 large jars on the shelf and around 5 she's using at various places around the house! Almost as bad as me with firearms ,reloading & casting !
As a + i get what's left of the candles to use as flux.

Only good use for candles, is melting them for use in my homemade fire starters, and some boolit lube formula's, and as flux/reducing.

fyi, my fav source for candles, is the "free" box at the end of a driveway at a garage sale ;)

Ditto here. And if dear wife sets them on a shelf in the basement I see no need to wait for "leftovers" but figure it won't be missed. So far 100% correct, I never missed one.

Those things make me gag. Ditto potpourri, and women with too much perfume on. Yup. They are good for annealing brass, fluxing the pot. Now she has a scent device that runs from a light bulb - makes my sinuses clog. Now I did hear a joke about a out-of-work of engineer who opened a health clinic. $500 to fix anything. Guy comes claiming he lost his taste. Doc puts 2 drops of gasoline on his tongue. $500 please, as the guy yell 'that's gas'. It goes on but you get the picture.

I seldom light them, most are too strong for me. I have some wax cubes designed to be heated but all I need to do is open the package to get all I want.

I kid you not, I got a ticket from Barney during a local traffic fundraiser for having a Hoppes #9 air freshener hanging from the mirror in my car.

I called the monroe county sheriff afterwards and told him the deputy in question might be better qualified to work in the zoo shoveling elephant $***.

Here's an idea for retirement income; I don't mind if somebody uses it. How about hop scented car air fresheners? "Gives your car that fresh beer smell."

She likes them. My sense of smell is almost nonexistent so none of the scents bother me.
I'm not much for mood lighting but they are handy when the power goes out.

Way back in driver ed our sheriff lectured the class one day. "Ya know that air freshener on the mirror? That can be cited as an obstruction according the the Motor Vehicle code book. We never bother anybody with that unless it's a big giant thing or we want an excuse to check you out."
His point was they can always find a reason to pull you over if they want to.

Yep, the little wifey and daughter went down to Little Rock for daughter's interview at med school. Wife went to Kroger grocery to get two things that she can't get in our area.... A specifics salad dressing and a Candle..... The clerk directed her to candle area and mentioned that the candles were on sale 2 for 1. Wife had to call me and let me know how happy she was.
Yes candles is the answer
