I am a life member of the NRA. I know they have had problems in the past. I think finding out all we can about nominations is important. Here is an article I found that might be of interest.

Thank you. To reiterate: Due Diligence, that is our job as a voter/elector.

I've always tried to find out all I can about the people running. Generally I've noticed that if they are not recommended by the current board they are much like me in my thinking. I also like people from my own state if there are any because they are "handier" to me. I've also found that many of the women over the years are more hard line than the men. Not always but more than you'd expect. It's a bit of work but the NRA has been slowly changing so it's worth the effort.

I usually only vote for 4 or 5 that I think are hard core.

I usually find out the ones that were not nominated by the NRA committee and vote for them. There were 5 this year. I figure they are not part of the party line so may just keep the board on their toes. I sent mine in last week all 25 circles filled in.

I have yet to vote for all 25 possible, but this year I think I found 20, a personal best.

I'd urge everyone to look closely at the people involved in the CO recall election. Timothy McKnight is one of them, and running for the NRA board. I believe him to be the 'real deal'.
