I'm a pot & ladle caster (and will probably never change) but never used anything but one and two cavity moulds. Any here use ladle with 6 cavity Lee's? Does it work OK? Not sure how one would get 'em all filled. Your responses will probably help to determine whether I go through with a GB order as I didn't think about this as a potential problem. Thanks.

I use the ladle exclusively and have mostly 6 cavity Lee molds.

Never have a problem at all getting good boolits.

Also, if you haven't invested in a Rowell Ladle from "The Antimony Man" I highly suggest buying one. It makes a big difference with the larger caliber, heavier boolits.

Hope this helps,:-D

+ 1 on "The Antimony Man" (Bill Ferguson) Bill with fix you up with the right Rowell Ladle for your needs. His suggestion for the short handle model was spot on. Google "The Antimony Man" and e-mail Bill.

I've used the Lee 6 cavities with a Lyman dipper. Cast three holes, dip again and cast the remaining three. Works fine.

Thanks for the help and the link, all. I'm using a RCBS ladle from 25 years ago or so. I'm guessing mebbee it'll make two 200 grainers per dip. Guess I'll go for it.

The RCBS is bigger than the Lyman. You can make 3 easy.

I was an exclusive ladle user until a couple weeks a go. Most of my small collection of molds are the 6 cavity type. The ladle that I used is large enuff to fill the cavities easily. The one pictured on the left is what I used. The remaining stuff is what I ran across today. The 3 ladles on the left have Jumbo printed on them. - Now I have a bottom pourer which does make life easier.

That describes most of my casting. Rowell and 6cavity.
