Would this ,cast in pure lead, with a sabot in a 50 cal.BP,be a good home cast bullet to use?

I cast a Lee .452 230 gr. flat nose bullet from wheel weights. I use them in a black MMP Standard sabot.
I shoot these for varmits and target shooting. I use 100 gr. of KIK Black Powder and Winchester 209 primers.
I do have some Hornaday 230 gr. HP XTP that I also shoot. They impact the same as the cast bullet. However the Hornaday bullet are set aside as my deer hunting bullets.
I think your choice of bullet will do. The powder and sabot choice will be up to you to determine.

I have this bullet mould and load it in .45 Auto-rim and .45 Colt. I have found the 300 grain Lee .452 flat nose-gas check bullet to perform best in my .50 caliber "in-line" muzzle loading rifles. Both of my front-stuffers have 1 in 28" twist rate and the Lee .452-300 bullet fits perfectly in ribbed sabots. They shoot very accurately using two 50 grain PyroCr@p pellets. The shorter .452-255RF bullet shoots OK but the 300 grain slug is MUCH better in my rifles.
