Just a heads up. Midsouth Shooters Supply (the sponsor at the top) has tightgroup and 700x. I just noticed today as I saw some for sale locally and looked it up on Midsouth.

700-x is a dang good powder to have on hand.
I have a bunch and use it in all kinds of stuff including some loads in my 300 b.o.
it was clay's 20 sumthin years before clay's come along.

It also has a great shelf life.

I found a can that had been hiding in the back of the powder locker for almost 40 years and still works GREAT.

I like 700X. It doesn't meter really great (800X is way worse), but when I use the Lee scoops it does great. Shoots good in .38, 9MM, 45 ACP etc. I like it. I am down to my last little bit though and have never figured out why they sell it in cans less than 1lb.?......

Seems like both powders are becoming more available. One of our main retail suppliers up here has both in abundance but only in 5 and 8 pound kegs. Five of us ordered 49 lbs including 15 lbs of Trailboss.

Maybe the shortages are finally coming to an end.

Time will tell.

For years 700x was THE powder for 45 acp. I don't use it much now myself as I've been narrowing powders down to the smallest number for the calibers I shoot but it is a great powder.

seems the harder I try to minimize the number of powders I have on hand [3 main pistol and 3 main rifle] the more 'other-thans' I end up with.
I've got 700-x, bulls-eye, green-dot, American select, Red-dot, 231, tite-group, and probably one or two others in this speed range.
I want mostly red-dot [and 700-x] but I keep running into everything but those.
