Got "the look" a lot when we were younger. After forty years of marriage, not so much. Either she trained me well or gave up. I'd bet on the former

Today at the gun show in Morgantown. She just knew I was going to buy a gun, I fooled her though. I went looking for an 8 lb keg of 4895 but not even a 1 lb to be seen. They did have everything else for $25 a lb and 4064 for $180 a keg. I did leave a little lighter in the wallet and then got "the look".
Easier to beg forgiveness than to ask for permission. At least I see it coming this way lol.

According to my wife the greatest gift I have ever given her was telling her she did not have to work. That was 10 years ago, haven't seen the look since.

Another poll should be made for those of us who had to look up what swmbo means, I did. I just called it the mom look and it was yesterday about 7:30.

"What are you going to do with these boxes of old magazines?":not listening:

After 50+ years, the look has become perminate. That's how I know she's paying attention.

Same here. I have every issue of both, and I'm pretty sure we're about to have that conversation again.

Over a year. Not really a SWMBO but a part-time live-in GF. Gave me "the look" and a few other trouble signs one too many times and I sent her on her way. Kinda miss her now and then, as soon as I can afford the vet bills I think I'll get a new pup. ;-)

Doh! ^^^ Everyday. Numerous times. A large age gap here, me older her younger. I think she thinks she has it all under control. Maybe!

I need one of those countdown signs that are next to the Safety Office. "XXdays since the last accident." Except it'll be "XXdays since I got 'the look'."

Over time t he LOOK will turn to a scowl and you'll not even have to wonder what it's for.

Hmmm when did I wake up and first say something?

I think that is what Buddha was all about. If you do nothing in this world and remain focused on the spiritual world you only get the look for the stuff you were supposed to but did not do, avoiding it for all the stuff you would have done if you were not sitting motionless in contemplation. In short a religion designed to reduce your instances of getting the look by a solid 50%

Well, she went to sleep a couple hours ago, so lets call it 2 1/2 hours ago? Here though, if I do something wrong, it is my fault. If the dogs do something wrong, it's my fault. If the dogs do something wrong and I laugh, well, you get the idea. She knows I don't mind sleeping with the dogs though, or sleeping outside, or whatever, so she is either getting more patient, or has just decided to keep me around for something to laugh at.

Shortly after remarrying my wife asked be if I knew how many beers that makes. My reply was I can drink beer at home or at the bar where you can't count them. Which will it be . I never heard another word about it. As for gun related items she considers them an envestment to be sold when I die. Ben married 30 years now. And dry for the last 6, but it was my choice.
