I have a Swedish Mauser M96 6.5mm I would like to work up some
c/b loads for.

Thinking of trying the Saeco #264 140gn Spitzer G/C mould.

Anyone here tried that combo?

B747 - The 6.5 is the chambering we all love to hate. I haven't shot that particular bullet, but have tried a couple others.
You will find you can get the Swede shooting well. the caveat is, the velocity limitation, due to the fast twist. Expect somewhere around 1700 fps, and be satisfied with that. Beyond that, you are beating your head on a wall, that is immovable.
To give the Swede a plus though, I've shot a couple big bodied northern bucks with the cartridge, with 160 gr. Lyman bullets. I don't think the bullets even slowed down, and killed well. I'm sure the 140's wil do the same.

Calamity Jake, I appreciate the offer, but Midway had this mould in
stock so will have it in a couple of days.

I'll post how it works out after I send some down range.
