well boys looks like we have a couple winners here. i casted some and am in no shape to shoot but lent the molds to my buddy Al who is about as critical as they come with bullet designs and he says there both real shooters in about every gun hes trying them in. Says they work well in the marlings they work in both his 86s and his #1 but said they couldnt even be a smidge longer as there right up to the rifling on both guns. If anyone has an extra of either or both and wants to sell them hed love to get himself one of each.

Sorry Lloyd, you can't have either of mine, the PB looks really good so far, the GC has yet to show me anything, but I'm not giving up yet. I just lapped the snot out of my 1895 Cowboy with the help of BABore, and I am ready for another round of tests.

i dont know what all hes tested so far but i know he was running both with 15 grains of unique the first day and both shot real well.

Guys, my 462420gc group buy is shooting VERY well in my 1884 trapdoor. 22-23g of AA5744 and a pinch of dacron shoots into 2" to 2.5" at 100yds. This is better than any combination tried so far in this gun, and probably as good as I can shoot with irons! I need to try it with BP when I get a chance, and in the marlin 1895 also. BTW the mold was/is a little cranky to get perfect bullets from all cavities, and i had to experiment with my technique to get an acceptable reject rate.

Only problem im running into with the gc version is the hornady gas checks are to small and its tough to get them on and sized without deforming them.

The Gatorchecks fit a little looser, on my bullets the Hornady's were a snug fit and the Gatorchecks were a little loose.

Ive been out of gators for a while. Ive been waiting for the group buy but should just buck up and make an order as i need 44s 45s 475s and .512s anyway.
