Lying on the couch, trying to get some much needed sleep, while 'nursing' a lousy, is there any other kind, toothache!

Been dealing with it since Monday and since my dentists office is closed for the holidays...
Aspirin only does so much.

Stayed up watching old movies. Not a drop to drink. I knew it wouldn't do any good to go to bed before midnight. I have neighbors who are highly enthusiastic about large explosions.

Played Cards Against Humanity (best card game ever!) with my girlfriend her sister and the sister's husband until right before to celebrate the ball drop with the kids. Had a blast. Hopefully, an indication of the good times ahead!!!

Had to get up a 4:40 to take the kid to work to boot.

I was hiding in the gun vault at my son's to avoid all the lead falling from the sky ..... :? SWMBO and I went to bed about 9ish, the shooting was sporadic at best. At about 11:30 it started to sound like they were softening up the beaches at Omaha ......:veryconfu

We stayed in the vault until about 1 or so ...... the joys of housesitting on the east side of Tanker Town ...... [smilie=s:

I was in the final stages of tweaking a new (to me) RCBS bench prime unit.

Should have seen me jump when the neighbors started letting off fireworks! Thought I blew a primer...:holysheep

I turned on el dorado for back ground noise and got out the photo books from kids growing up and wife and I growing together. Shes been gone for 13 years march. I reminised and remebered the good times along with a few not so good, There were pics of alot of things in this one and it made for a great evening. Thought about getting a shotgun out and realized Id have to clean it today so didnt LOL. My oldest is 29 middle is 25 and youngest is 24. I see so much of my wife in the middle daughter. I thought about going to range today but dang it was cold.

Moaning, groaning with back pain while watching an English dubbed, Russian documentary series on the battles of the eastern front, on HULU. The Rooskies did a nice job by the way. Lots of 91/30's SMG's SVT40's.

Did not plan on staying up but been wearing out the flu and for all the coughing ..... I figured I'd just as soon stay up until it passed.

At midnight I stepped out to our deck ...... we are truely in the boonies ....... and a lot of the long distance neighbors were setting off their exploding targets ....... one idiot somewhere north of us was doing a "AK style battle rattle" to reinforce is little rocket show ....... I guess he thought he was "inadequate" compared to the boomer targets?

Single digits outside so a little of that went a long ways ........ by 2AM I felt good enough to try bed. Woke up at 6am and felt I'd gained compared to the past few days ...........

BTW, I had a flu shot this year ........ whoopee!

Old movie, decent wine and got to watch my neighbors put on a pretty good fireworks show. No sense going to bed early around here. Today I piddled in the loading room (and here) most of the day but tonight I had venison liver & onions, taters, beans and cornbread. After that it was a continuation of the old movie and more wine. Life is good on my little spot on the prairie.

Just another day here is Afghanistan. We had the local fireworks get us up early for new years just to let us know they are still here.

Watching Dr. Who, drinking a beer, blowing my nose every 3 minutes because of that nasty flu bug, and feeling like I was run over by a truck because every joint in my body hurt. Nose has settled down today but body aches and cough have settled in. And I had the flu shot too. In MN flu is at epidemic levels.
