i would like to know if h322 will work in my 30-30. i tried jacketed bullets(170 gr speer 25-29gr) but now i want to try a ranch dog 165gr gc rnfl for my 30-30. i have lyman's 49th edition and they don't have h322, or should i use rel 7?

thanks!!!

Read the disclaimers and proceed if you so choose by dropping 10% and using that # as a starting load. I have found this to be quite useful and base many of my loads off this data.

FWIW my personal experience has been that the loads for RD bullets appear to work best at the higher end of the scale. YMMV

It should work reasonably well, though typically wants a touch more pressure than normal cast boolit loads produce to completely burn. 24 grains of it will get you in the ballpark, at about 1700 fps and 22K PSI behind that RD boolit.

That's been my experience as well but I generally don't push them as hard as he does. His moulds generally like to run fast & hot as well, even the ones with big cavities. Have to keep a wet rag around to keep them from overheating. ;-)

thanks eveyone! i may try using h322 thru the rel7 data. i figure it goes around 1600-1900fps(h322 19-25gr). i don't want to push it to fast. the old win m94 top eject can go alot more, but being a stroke-abled guy, i'd rather take it slow.
