I have a WMC , 50 cal, with a qla barrel. I bought it new just before they stopped making them. It shoots sabots very well but I want to male my own and was thinking of the Lee REAL bullet. Anyone use these in this gun? Suggestions on which one? I only hunt white tails with this gun in deep timber. thanks, Craig

Use a crumpled patch under the R.E.A.L. Sure helped me with them.

The lee 500 S&W bullet paper patched and sized to .501 works awesome in that rifle. This is a friend of mine's deer.

Had that Lee mold for more years than I remember and the GM carbine barrel on "Ren".

Sooner or later reckon should get around to trying it out!

I use the 250gr REAL in a few ML's as well as in a 500 S&W. I don't know off hand what twist rate the WMC has but would think it would have to be very slow for them not to shoot good. IIRC some guys with 1 in 66 PA hunter models even had acceptable results with the 250 REAL.

I have 2. 1 has a 1/20 and the other is 1/38. I would think they would shoot well in both.
