these are the first 5 shots out of my 54 cal with the mold that Tom at Accurate made for me
the alloy was 40-1 and the slug weighs 430 gr.I used white label allox to lube them
I had a respectable charge of black underneath them.Seated the boolit directly on top the charge.
I think I'm in love again.
The range was 50 yards, the flyer you see was a miss fire it took 2 caps to get it to the target.I always seem to wreck a good thing........I use a fiber optic front sight and a peep sight on the rear

That's a flyer! Great shooting tom only sells top quality stuff and it certainly looks like you did your part! My Lee real mold is no producing groups like that after some tinking and tweaking and some file work and powder coating.

That looks REAL good. Four holes touching, in under an inch. Stretch it out to 100 and see if the angular size holds up. Two inches at 100 is better than I've ever gotten with my 50 cal.

That is awesome! I'd like to see you try a lubed wad under that to see if it makes any difference. It does in 3 of my 50's.

for a 54 to shoot that good, you should be doing cart wheels. way to go.

What they said, nice group! I have a .50 caliber Lyman and I've been wondering about buying a REAL mould. I think that settles it!
