Seating Depth

Am loading .300 blkout with 208 grain cast boolits but am confused on how far to seat them. I've heard various opinions, etc. but would like to heard from you guys, the experts.

I seat my 230's to magazine length.
I also seat my 165's to that same length, and would go further if I could.
but I'm shooting a bolt gun.

Seat a dummy to mag length. Check to see if it will chamber easily. Seat progressively deeper until it chambers easily and feeds reliably

+1 I load to the longest OAL that will feed and chamber smoothly.
I load the Lee 230s to the top of the crimp band, which gives me a little room in the mag and chambers better.
Can't speak directly to your boolit.
