i have aquired a set of rcbs scales yhat are green has ohaus on em & a thumb wheel for the 1/10 adjustment.
my ? is it has no pan & zeros with out a pan???
did it come with a pan & been adjusted to zero with out it???
no model # on it no where:confused::confused:

When RCBS went into the scale business, IIRC it was in the late sixties, Ohaus made their scales. Maybe they still do. Anyway, phone RCBS' 800 number. Something good will happen.

Zero is zero. If you can zero it out with a different type of pan, then I think you would be good to go.

Sounds like an RCBS 5-10 scale. Call RCBS for a replacement pan, bet that they won't let you pay them for it.

RCBS really stands behind their stuff. However, last year I had a problem with a scale, also. When I called them they said Ohaus handled all their scale problems and they gave me a number to call. Ohaus answered my questions and advised me what to do while on the phone. That enabled me to fix the problem myself. If it hadn't fixed the problem Ohaus said I could send the scale in for evaluation and/or repair.

I have that scale. Make weight adjustments by playing with the filler in the pan holder. The pan holder has screws to open it up. Make your own powder holder or pan. ... felix

thats what i was thinkin also felix, then again a call to rcbs will get a pretty one!!
