My mother had to get transported to the ER Wednesday, collapsed in her bedroom floor with associated indications of a GI bleed. IV antibiotics administered for septicemia, 102 fever that would not go down. Got a call yesterday evening that they were flying her to Georgetown because she took a turn for the worse. Will not know anything till later. Any thoughts or prayers would be greatly appreciated. Thank you friends...

Thank you brothers. Looks like it may have helped a bit. Docs still do not know what the problem was, but she is conscious and talking. Not sure when she will get out of ICU, but when my step dad talked to her a bit ago, said she was sounding like her old self.

Prayers are up Doc, my mother is 87 and went the ER last Saturday night. Thankfully she was released on Sunday morning no worse for wear. A colleague from my LEO days lost his 88 year old mother on the 6th, his 68th Birthday was the 9th. I will add your Mom to my prayers lists, I hope she recovers quickly.

Got very lucky. The doctor had the idea to check for salmonella. Couple of weeks iv antibiotics, followed up by nursing care, but it looks like she will get out of the hospital in another week or so.
