The latest Hornady book has quite a few loads for 300BLK both super and subsonic. If you want particulars, it would help to tell us what bullet weight etc etc.

And whether or not using an autoloader.

Check the Lee web site and print the 300 Blk die set instruction sheet... It has load data for their 230 grain using Lil Gun, h110 and 4227..

NOE mold? Autoloader, bolt rifle or single shot? If not an auto loader (AR) you would have more options for powders. With the AR you have to have enough gas to cycle the action and that limits the powder choices somewhat. If you are shooting the AR what is the barrel length and gas system(pistol length or carbine length gas system)?

I've been shooting a cast 230 grain bullet out of my 16 inch carbine length gas barrel with good results using 10.2 grains of AA1680. Subsonic, cycles the action, and locks back on the last round. I've just starting trying IMR4227 and started too low to cycle the action fully. I've got another batch loaded to try the next time I get to shoot with just a bit more powder than the first load.

Here's my collection of data. I like A1680 for subs in my AR and Trail Boss in my H&R.

Thanks, Dinny
