I traded for this rifle in 45-70 and am excited to pick it up. Weather here was not good late this afternoon when I found out the rifle was there and it is 28 miles one way, so will go tomorrow.

bigarm, my favorite rifle is a Marlin 1895 LTD-V. You may find that it likes cast boolits sized to .460 for outstanding accuracy. Mine will shoot 1 inch groups at 100 yards with the Ranch Dog 350 Gr. with gas check. sized to .460 with 43 to 44 grains of IMR-4198 powder. It will also shoot 1 inch groups with the Hornady 350 gr. Flat point jacketed with the same powder load. Velocity is around 1850 fps with that load. That load will take down anything you may encounter in your state.:bigsmyl2:

You mean there is a rifle called the LTD? I always thought it was a big Ford land yacht of the 70's and 80's.
