Hi ,lts been a while since l did any casting..But l felt the need to refresh myself since l have a bit of spare time til New Years. l have been shooting regularly and reloading.. just not doing any casting.. Looking thru my molds l pulled out my H&G 142 GC for 44 mag/spcl bullets..lts a Thompson design and l have used in the past w/o gc.. lt did not shoot that bad , l cast a couple hund using 50/50 cow-sow..They weighed in at 220gr and miked .431 with 2 different mikes..The H&G chart says 230 gr.. l have no ldea why the dif but l checked them on 2 separate scales and they read the same..Coming from the mold @ .431 l plan to shoot a few lubed with Lee Alox and not resizing Them .. No gas ck either.. 5.6 gr of TiteGroup should yield around 900fps from my 629PC 7 1/2''.. Will keep y'all posted

l forgot just how relaxing and satisfying casting is..
