Just came in and have washed my hands and face. In a bread loaf pan beside me rests a quarter million grains of Lee's sort of (if you are liberal with definition) H&G 68 SWC boolits in what is real close to 1/2 of Lyman #2 alloy (95/2.5/2.5). That bread pan is heaping full now, but when empty I calibrated my canning scale to "0" with it. Now it reads 33#. (33 X 7,000) / 200 = 1,155. That won't last long. When I get a round tuit, I will powder coat and size.

Ha! I cast 33# yesterday but they were 100 and 105 grain MP 314-640s. Cast about 15 lbs early and the rest in the afternoon after cutting wood. Was a little tired at the end of the day.

33 lbs is a good pile of boolits. Need to go back to casting 44s and 45s or at least heavy 38s.

It would have been more bullets if you had just used that "bator" mould to fill it up ;-)

Ain't that the truth ;-) I have about thirty seven pounds of alloy I made up that is slated to run through my four cavity 225462 . The goal is as many "good" bullets as I can get so the mission is cast , inspect , remelt , repeat . I should end up with enough for gallery loads for a couple years ahead I hope .

Somewhere, the ghost of my 23 year old self is laughing and pointing. That guy was insane--he'd cast all night, 10 pm to 6:00 AM. I can't be that guy any more.
