There are still alot of good people on this board and some of the members that have joined in the last couple of years are stepping in to fill the voids by those that are no longer with us for one reason or another.

We will survive.

I suspected that was the reason, thanks for the highlighting. Good "upstanding" members don't get banned for no reason. He took advantage of the forum and wound up getting banned. I support that decision. There are so many awesome Vendor Sponsors here that pay their dues, it just wasn't fair to them.

He sold a lot here through the years. I've bought from him several times. His most famous product was his Bullplate Sprue Plate Lube. I have to confess, it works great. I bought enough of it to last a dozen people a lifetime, a big bottle of it. His boolit lube, Speed Green was good too.

How to have a life time supply of "bullplate lube".

1 But a 4 pack of food coloring.
2 Pour ALL coloring down the drain and rinse bottles.
3 Pop off the 4 hole top and using an eyedropper refill with the super secret lube.

Those little bottles can bounce like ping pong balls and never loose one single drop.

This process tested and certified by the one and only GIRTY.:bigsmyl2:

I posted the cure for spilled Bullplate some years back on this forum. It said that after spilling my third bottle on my casting bench and sitting there trying to gather up as much as I could to return to the bottle, I said out loud, there has to be a better way!! I was looking at the floor and saw the scrap 2x4 pieces on the floor that I used to sit my ingot molds on while cooling. I said wait a minute and picked up one that was about 5 to 6 inches in length and put a bottle on it, then I drew a pattern around the bottom onto the wood. I took a wood bit and cut about halfway through the 2x4 and inserted the bottle. I have never spilled another bottle of Bullplate.

I will tell everyone that the NASA lube made by Bullshop was some of the best BP lube that I ever used and I had many a BP shooter switch to it after I sent them some. I just came back on this forum after being away since the spring of 2012 due to some serious health problems. I will miss being able to read and exchange postings with him. Later Cajun Shooter

For the record, I will add my voice to those who feel that Dan's absence from this board if a net loss for the board for those who come here to learn. We are all creatures of our generation, which ever that might be, and often our attitudes and views on things clash with the political correct views of today. No his shop didn't burn. I don't think he renewed sponsorship after he moved out of Alaska. I know he, at least for a long time didn't sell cast near as much as he used to, so might not be profitable to continue the sponsor thing. Just guessing here, as I do not even know how much it costs, to be a vendor sponsor.
