They make it in most calibers but not this one for some reason but they do make a large assortment in this caliber. They make a 125g RF bullet.

I've been thinking of cutting and/or lapping a taper between the leading shoulder and the base of the nose on the Lee 258-140-SWC to make it more of a TC.

................While it isn't a TC design, I'd think the 125gr mooman76 suggested wol dbe a good one. Single lube groove and a nose shape that should 'funnel'em in' like a TC nose would.

Couldn't you just beagle one of the Lee 9mm TC molds? You only need a couple thousandths bigger.

At the risk of sounding ignorant, what is "beagle" a mold. I assume it is a procces to make it throw boolits several thousanth's larger. Does it involve some sort of lapping procedure?

Often Lee molds throw bullets a thou or two over advertized diameter. I regularly shoot their 9mm molds from .38s. My 9mm TC (tumble lube also) drops something like .358" with WW.

Note to forum operators: Beagling should be posted in the FAQ's. I ran a search for "beagle" in FAQs and didn't get a hit.

Beagling is posted in the classics and stickies as well as in member articles.

The Lee six cavity TC mold I use for my 9mm throws a slug large enough to shoot in my .38 special J frame. It's diameter is close enough to .358 to work just fine.
