So I shot another doe this morning, way happier with the boolits. The mule doe I shot yesterday seems to have been through the muscle in the neck, enough to drop it on the spot, but leaving a tiny exit.
Todays doe was a 145 yd solid hit in the shoulder, with her running about 50 yds before piling up.
The .308 170 gr boolit did less damage than a j bullet would have done. I am very pleased with the load, and have the guys on this site to thank for it!

Just as you have found, I have found that a good cast boolit seems to always perform good when used properly. Nice work. Looks like some great meat in the making.

Does look as if you have a good load. Doesn't look like much meat damage at all. Good shooting to boot! Very nicely done.
