Im guessing nobody was hurt, but still not sure how it would be possible.

Also I'm not sure why it attached the picture, but it wouldn't let me delete it.

What, an empty casing got hit by a bullet in the heat of combat? Probably laying on the ground near a gun and got nailed by a round from the other guys. Or some bored GI used it for target practice.

LOL I take it you didn't click on the link there rondog. It is just another example proving not everybody should own a gun.

Heh, no I didn't click on the link! I just assumed the link went to the same attached photo! That's messed up, I weep for that poor S&W.

It does say alot for S&W products and about the shooter as well.

That happens a great deal more than I would have thought it could.

Bullet stays in barrel = no recoil.

I like the 8 bullets in the barrel, the guy had to reload in the middle of his foolishness. I have seen another squibed S&W wheelgun but it only had 5 bumps, maybe 8 is a record?

Eight might be a record, but there are probably some ties. A year or 2 back, one our very own members posted where he had stuck iirc 7. He reloaded and kept going until the last one didn't clear the cylinder locking the gun up.

Just amasing, some should not own guns! On another thread I posted where a muzzleloader had 2 powder charges and 3 bullets. Just amasing!

I'm amazed the barrel isn't bulged.

In WW II my dad was a armourer working on air craft. He had a collection of ammo that thy used in the planes that all had been drilled like that. He told me that thy had made some kind of gig that thy could put the round in after thy had drilled the case and dumped the powder out and then fire the primer. When fired the primer would pop out of the case but leave the bullet in place. That way guys could take them home as souvenirs.

That a classic like that should end up in that condition is the very definition of "it's a crying shame".

Hilarious, and the knuckle head reloaded in the middle of this insanity!

Shows how strong a S&W really is.

I'm thinking, if I was stupid enough to do that, I wouldn't even tell my wife, much less put it on the net.
