I was told last night after getting home from work that my niece whom is 25 probably had a stroke. We are waiting on the tests and she has had such a hard life that it troubles me to hear that this happened. Her name is Kayle (Kay Lee)

Pray for her salvation because I do not know if she has found the Lord. We are not close and I only hear information second hand, she is family though and what affects one affects all.

Much can be done for stroke victims with modern medicine. God is relentlessly seeking us, even when we are not looking. Prayer said for your niece, and her whole family.

"There is a balm in Gilead, to heal the sin sick soul; there is a balm in Gilead, to make the wounded whole." Words from an old Spiritual taken from Jeremiah I believe. We know that balm as Jesus Christ, in whose Holy name we bring your niece to God's throne of Grace for healing in body and soul.

Heartbreaking circumstances but we serve a loving and just God who desires that none should perish. May she have complete physical and spiritual healing!

Just a quick update. She is still having problems talking and her job is threatening to fire her because she can not be understood. Her 4 year old son is now in ICU because he is having seizures (15 an hour at one point) and the doctors do not know why. I know that God does all things for His glory, but when children are involved it is hard to see "the forest beyond the trees".

My prayers go out for her and the family. I would be talking to a lawyer with respect to her employer.

I told her to file FMLA paperwork right away. She doesn't have two pennies to rub together so for now the FMLA will have to do to protect her.
