OK, show me a photo of the 'Turkey' in your casting collection ?
For sure, I want to see a cast boolit somewhere in the photo.
PS, I know some of you will want to ask, just what is a Turkey ?
well in the context of this contest, see Def #5

while no longer in my collection, it was for a few years.
It looks cool, but...
it shot like a turkey and seating a GC on it's oversized shank was also a turkey

Here's a turkey. It's the half check, if you cut your checks in half they last twice as long right?
Not that I would pick up mold halves from two identical MP molds, one gas check and one plain base and put them together. If ya do ya get half check boolits. Rick

My Turkey is a single cavity Lee 309-150 GC mould that a family member modified with a drill press using a drill bit. It was intended for the 41 Long Colt but he did not know it used a heel based boolit.
It ended up (surprisingly) being a 250 grain .406 caliber boolit. I have never used it for anything, and until just now always assumed was accidentally bored to 41 caliber.
It's very rough, but I submit this little oopsie for your viewing entertainment.

This mold is no longer in my possession. I do have a 3 cavity hollow point version. It was an exercise in frustration. It is the infamous 30 Silhouette mold. Like your bullets to fall out of the mold, forget it. Like to beat on your molds? Then this baby is for you. The third cavity was the real SOB. It never wanted to release a bullet, period. When the bullets did release it didn't matter. They were most likely crooked or the base tore off due to the deep lube groove. This is the epitome of a Turkey. Those that have owned one will most likely agree. It's a shame because the keepers shot great. No bullet pics because it took one short range session to shoot all the good ones up :(
