My Swiss army surplus shoulder bag is giving up the ghost. I am looking for a replacement. I like lots of pockets and compartments. A padded strap is a plus. I lean towards nylon over canvas. Any suggestions?

You might look into Professional Photographers shoulder bags and messenger bags.

I have a GAP messenger's bag my wife got at Goodwill that is great! It has pockets galore and plenty of gunspace.

I have a TIMBUK2 bicycle messanger bag that I love. It has molle straps arround the inside for customizability and all the pockets you need.

I've got one of these, and like it, but I don't use a murse every day.

I was in Target and saw a Dickie messanger bag for $30 - I think it was nylon...

The old ALICE packs with alum frame are top notch IMO. many can still be found in barely used condition or with new shoulder straps. The ones I have on mine are super comfortable.

LA Police Gear Bailout Bag. (http://www.lapolicegear.com/tabaoutbag.html) twenty bucks plus shipping. Lots of pockets. Sturdy. I have at least half a dozen, one set up for each of my fun guns, Gave one to the G/F for a purse and she used it for a while. Hard bit of kit to beat.
