That intstructor girl is pretty damn cool about it even standing on the ledge with only a safety line. When they dropped and the swing started I literally said Holy S...! Once in a lifetime try. For my son's 18th birthday we went skydiving. Not sure which is harder.

Just glad I'm not the one doing the girls' laundry after their jump/swing.

Yes !

Did you see the rapids in that river ? That looks like a better thrill to an old whitewater kayaker, those have to be in the 4-5 range and some may be 6's.

Didn't anyone notice the critter running around the side of the mtn as they were being pulled back up?

Was that at ~5:34ish? If so I think it was part of the harness that they are in. My screen was fuzzy for most of the video. I guess after 10 years or so with the same puter it might be time to upgrade.

At first I thought they were on a zip line. The swing looks to be pretty interesting. I suppose I would go for it if someone else was paying for it and I don't mean my wife.

As to the original question: No.

Saw a similar (sort of) rig set up in Kiev to let you slide across the Dneiper River
from the bluff above, maybe 3/8 mile and 300-500 ft above the river. Looked a bit and
then decided, no way.

Same thing for this one.

I would pay to do that. I would pay to do that twice. I'm 63 and I would pay to do that.

At one time I would have and equipment has gotten better sense I was their age. I have little fear of heights, too busy enjoying the view. That girl on the crew is kinda cute and seems to be absolutely fearless, I like that in a woman.

No chance. That's way above the top end of my pucker-factor scale.

I have done many things in my 78 years where that would not even compare as risky.

At this point I am happy to just sit back and enjoy watching others have the thrill of a lifetime.:bigsmyl2:

I don't think I would want to try that, even though I took part in a McGuire rig exercise once while in the National Guard. It's a maneuver designed to extract a team from a location where a chopper cannot land. They drop 4 ropes, you hook up and they pick you straight up and as soon as you clear any obstacles, they commence their forward flight until they reach an area where they can land, and you can board the chopper. Finding yourself 700 ft off the ground, and the only thing between you and the ground are the soles of your boots and the bottom of your socks can be a bit unnerving. All in all it was a slow and smooth maneuver.

Son just told me he was going to do a tech. climb of Grand Teton next year with his wife ( for her 40th). Being young has merit.
